I have been in love with the maxi look for a long while now but could never find a maxi skirt that felt right on me so you can imagine how delirious I got when I stumbled upon the perfect maxi skirt a few days ago while thrift/vintage shopping! I got pretty lucky and found some cute leopard print peep-toe pumps too which has also been on my wish list for a long time. In my mind the outfit was already made!
I am the sort of person who does not wait to wear new clothes because I believe tomorrow is a gift, not a promise. I don't keep clothes for special occasions unless it is a really SPECIAL one and it's coming soon because I don't want to buy something and die before I wear it! It's pretty silly but I live by that rule.
Apart from that I have been giving away a lot of stuff that I don't wear anymore because I really want to un-clutter my life. I am such a hoarder and always tell myself that I might need an item of clothing later even when I have not worn it for months. I am trying to change! I do not want clothes to be so important in my life. I feel good about shopping for clothes and looking good but I don't want it to be more important than love, friendship and family.
I do not have the prettiest toes so don't look too hard! lol. Thank you for reading!!!

WINE TASTING AT SHAKA'S GRILL
Well hello there!
Guess who is keeping her end of the bargain and blogging again? ME!!!! On Wednesday I received a last minute request to cover a wine tasting event at Shaka's Grill and was grumbling all the way there because I had to go straight after work and could not freshen up (I touched up on my makeup in a moving car though..lol.)
I ended up bumping into a good friend at the event and everything turned around! She was there with her boyfriend but I sort of kidnapped her for the rest of the evening. We had such a laugh and a little bit too much wine on my end! We even bumped into local celebrity musician Exile and he was so sweet and took pictures with anyone who asked. What a night!
A toast to a wonderful night
Kisses to all you fabulous readers!
With local celebrity Exile!!!

Shorts and Bows
Firstly I want to say thank you to everyone who has followed my blog so far, it's such an honour to know you would be interested in keeping up with my rumbles..lol. At some point I will be a lot more serious about this blog, I usually push it aside for work and other things but I want to share more with you in days to come, pinkie swear!
Lately, I have started being a little bit adventurous with my style, nothing too out there but I was pretty impressed with an outfit I came up with over the weekend. A few days ago I bought the prettiest skirt and it had a huge bow on the side that didn't seem quite right so I cut it off. I thought I would sew it back onto the back of the skirt or something but in the end I decided I might as well use it as a bow on my shirts. This is the first look I styled it with and I was pretty impressed with the outcome! I have seen a few celebrities pull this look off and I loved that it worked for me too! Well, what do you think?
I bet you noticed the stitch in my tights by now! Guilty as charged :) I love these tights because they fit so perfectly so I was distraught when they got a huge rip while I was getting off a bus on my way to church. You might think at this stage I have gotten used to holes in my tights but I could not bring myself to throw this pair out so I sewed it back together..lol.
Like I said, several celebrities have worked this look before and I absolutely loved how my girl Bonang Matheba (who I featured in a previous post) looked on the cover of True Love Magazine. PERRR-FECT!!
I was going to feature other celebrities who have worn the bow look but then I stumbled upon Funmi Ogunja's post on the trend and decided not to. You can visit her blog here to see some great looks!
PS: Today my boyfriend and I are celebrating TWO years together! Will do a special post about it later so keep your eyes locked on here!!!

Celebrity Crush: Bonang Matheba
I recently discovered Bonang Matheba after reading her inspiring interview in CLEO magazine and I have to admit I have become a bit of a stalker since then! She is a South African presenter for a TV show called Live and a radio show on Y FM and is one hell of a fashionista. What I loved most was stumbling upon her reality show B*Dazzled which is fun and not too serious.
She is one loud mama but love her or hate her, her style is unfailable! Here are some gorgeous pics from this South African Diva:)
How GORGEOUS is she?!! I was shocked to discover she is only 24 as she looks alot older and has acheived so much already but I will certainly be keeping an eye on her! Make sure you check out her reality hit show B*Dazzled!

FRIENDS ARE EVERYTHING
Hello lovelies,
It's still pretty crazy on my end, working on a magazine which was supposed to be out today and hopefully it will be! Thought I could do a quick post and share some of these gorgoues pictures we took on the last Friday of 2011. I was so lucky to spend it with my two best friends and even though it was the first time they were meeting they got along so well that it made my heart melt! We went out dancing at the Greek Olive which has such a nice Italian Vibe and of course we munched down lots of pizza!! How lucky can a girl get?
I believe that friends are evrything. I have been in situations where my family could not help me or where too far and my friends came through for me. It is really hard to find true friends in our world but I am fortunate to be blessed with friends who have stuck by me in the good and bad times. I only hope I have been half a blessing as they have been to me.
I wore a pink bandage skirt which is something I have been dying to own for a long time and i got lucky and got it in a sale from Mr. Price! It is so cute yet sexy and I hope to pair it with more colours as i'm still trying to figure out what to wear it with. I hope you like how I paired it with stripes! We danced till late and all in all, it was a pretty fab way to spend the last friday of 2011. No regrets!!

Life Is All About Ups & Downs
I know, I know! Not been the best blogger of the year so far and already going back on my last promise to keep up to date but so much has been going on that I have not had a minute to share anything! I have had very sad news this week but I will share this with you at a later time.
So off with all the sadness! Last week was busy but had a good ending. Me and two of my workmates were invited to the Nando's official opening at a brand new mall in Makeni. We were pleasantly surprised to find that everything on the menu was absolutely FREE!! So you can imagine how we were spoiled for choice. I ordered the biggest meal I could find on the menu and topped it up with a delicious lemon and cheesecake desert...heaven:) The Nando's chicken never disappointing, all their food is so delicious and the staff is extremely friendly which makes for a great meal out. I would certainly recommend Nando's to anybody. here are a few pics of our great time there!

Our Little Get-Away Weekend
Hope it’s not too late to wish everybody a Happy New Year!
I feel awful because I have been so bad at blogging lately, I always hate it when I follow a blog and then it goes dead and that’s exactly what I have been doing. smh. But worry not, I have so much to share and it’s gonna be a spin!
The next couple of blogs are going to be about all the wonderful stuff that happened over the last couple of weeks before the New Year as I have lots of incredible pictures I want to share.
I don’t think I mentioned this but, last year I won two nights for two at an exclusive lodge in the Lower Zambezi Valley right at the edge of the Zambezi River (the largest river in Zambia). I took my lovely boyfriend along and we had two of the most fabulous days ever. I will let the pictures tell the story!
We were treated to a boatcruise on our first day at the lodge and it was so exciting and also very romantic
Elephants were just some of the animals we got to see, I was terrified but as you can see my boyfriend loved every minute of it!
So it seems I'm not that heavy afterall, lol...I love being swept up in his arms:)
Of course we had to toast to the moment with a delicious bottle of crispy white wine

Yes, incase you were wondering, those are very real and very wild elephants! We had a terrific guide to make sure we were safe at all times.
The Zambian sunset is one of the most incredibly beautiful sunsets in the world. FACT.
This was the most exciting part of the trip for me, we got to swim in the crocodile and hippo infested Zambezi River! We had a guide to watch over us and we chose a clear and relatively safe part of the river but the risk is what made it unforgettable!
I could not have chosen a better person to share this moment with.
THE END.
