Life Is All About Ups & Downs

I know, I know! Not been the best blogger of the year so far and already going back on my last promise to keep up to date but so much has been going on that I have not had a minute to share anything! I have had very sad news this week but I will share this with you at a later time.

So off with all the sadness! Last week was busy but had a good ending. Me and two of my workmates were invited to the Nando's official opening at a brand new mall in Makeni. We were pleasantly surprised to find that everything on the menu was absolutely FREE!! So you can imagine how we were spoiled for choice. I ordered the biggest meal I could find on the menu and topped it up with a delicious lemon and cheesecake desert...heaven:) The Nando's chicken never disappointing, all their food is so delicious and the staff is extremely friendly which makes for a great meal out. I would certainly recommend Nando's to anybody. here are a few pics of our great time there!

Our Little Get-Away Weekend

Hope it’s not too late to wish everybody a Happy New Year!

I feel awful because I have been so bad at blogging lately, I always hate it when I follow a blog and then it goes dead and that’s exactly what I have been doing. smh. But worry not, I have so much to share and it’s gonna be a spin!

The next couple of blogs are going to be about all the wonderful stuff that happened over the last couple of weeks before the New Year as I have lots of incredible pictures I want to share.

I don’t think I mentioned this but, last year I won two nights for two at an exclusive lodge in the Lower Zambezi Valley right at the edge of  the Zambezi River (the largest river in Zambia). I took my lovely boyfriend along and we had two of the most fabulous days ever. I will let the pictures tell the story!

We were treated to a boatcruise on our first day at the lodge and it was so exciting and also very romantic
Elephants were just some of the animals we got to see, I was terrified but as you can see my boyfriend loved every minute of it!
Yes, incase you were wondering, those are very real and very wild elephants! We had a terrific guide to make sure we were safe at all times.

So it seems I'm not that heavy afterall, lol...I love being swept up in his arms:)
Of course we had to toast to the moment with a delicious bottle of crispy white wine
The Zambian sunset is one of the most incredibly beautiful sunsets in the world. FACT.

This was the most exciting part of the trip for me, we got to swim in the crocodile and hippo infested Zambezi River! We had a guide to watch over us and we chose a clear and relatively safe part of the river but the risk is what made it unforgettable!
I could not have chosen a better person to share this moment with.

                                           THE END.
