I have been busy and it's not the fun busy I usually complain about but secretly enjoy. It's the pile of office paperwork that keeps going on and on till you explode kind of busy! Last week was hectic to say the least as I might have let some work drag and I had to catch up before it completely drowned me. I'm pleased to say I am back with a little more time to share what I have been up to.
United Nations World Tourism Organization
Exciting things are going on in Zambia at the moment and I wish I had a clone I could send around to be part of all these events but I don't! Zambia is currently co-hosting the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) 20th General Assembly with Zimbabwe from the 24th to the 29th of August. UNWTO is the world’s biggest tourism assembly and up to 4 000 participants are expected to attend from the 180 member countries, making this one of the most prestigious events of the year!
I would give one of my toes to be in Livingstone right now (Zambia's tourist capital) because I can imagine how insanely exciting it must be with all those tourists and so much to see and do. Must be a carnival up there!
My best friend and I were in Livingstone two months ago; we planned a road trip and went down to the Victoria Falls which is one of the world's natural wonders. It was amazing and I really feel if you are Zambian there is no excuse not to plan a trip there. We are often dreaming and saving up for exotic gateways like the Seychelles or Bahamas but I can assure you that we have amazing places in Zambia and we need to explore our own country. If you follow me on any of my social media channels you may have seen some of these pictures but I thought now would be a good time to share them with those that haven’t! Oh to be in Livingstone again!

Fashion Fix: Estelle Mantele & Kutowa Designs
The past couple of weeks have been fashionable highs. I had the pleasure of attending two fashion shows and found myself having a chance to improve my night photography which used to really suck!
Estelle Mante’s Flamme Launch
The first show I attended was two weeks ago. One of the
designers, Esther, is a girl I first met when I was just starting out on a new
job, attending events and learning photography. Her label is Estelle Mantel
which she started with her sister who I believe is Victoria. They were
launching a line called “Flamme” an Afrocentric clothing line with chitenge prints
and modern cloth like chiffon. They show cased very few pieces and I got a
feeling they had rushed to put the collection out. I liked a few of the dresses
but was not blown away by the men’s range because I felt it was nothing
different. A friend of mine and fellow
blogger Leelee did a good job at reviewing this show so go on over to her blog
and have a peek!
A few pieces from “Flame”
