Celebrity Crush: Bonang Matheba

I recently discovered Bonang Matheba after reading her inspiring interview in CLEO magazine and I have to admit I have become a bit of a stalker since then! She is a South African presenter for a TV show called Live and a radio show on Y FM and is one hell of a fashionista. What I loved most was stumbling upon her reality show B*Dazzled which is fun and not too serious.

She is one loud mama but love her or hate her, her style is unfailable! Here are some gorgeous pics from this South African Diva:)

How GORGEOUS is she?!! I was shocked to discover she is only 24 as she looks alot older and has acheived so much already but I will certainly be keeping an eye on her! Make sure you check out her reality hit show B*Dazzled!

FRIENDS ARE EVERYTHING

Hello lovelies,

It's still pretty crazy on my end, working on a magazine which was supposed to be out today and hopefully it will be! Thought I could do a quick post and share some of these gorgoues pictures we took on the last Friday of 2011. I was so lucky to spend it with my two best friends and even though it was the first time they were meeting they got along so well that it made my heart melt! We went out dancing at the Greek Olive which has such a nice Italian Vibe and of course we munched down lots of pizza!! How lucky can a girl get?

I believe that friends are evrything. I have been in situations where my family could not help me or where too far and my friends came through for me. It is really hard to find true friends in our world but I am fortunate to be blessed with friends who have stuck by me in the good and bad times. I only hope I have been half a blessing as they have been to me.

I wore a pink bandage skirt which is something I have been dying to own for a long time and i got lucky and got it in a sale from Mr. Price! It is so cute yet sexy and I hope to pair it with more colours as i'm still trying to figure out what to wear it with. I hope you like how I paired it with stripes! We danced till late and all in all, it was a pretty fab way to spend the last friday of 2011. No regrets!!

Life Is All About Ups & Downs

I know, I know! Not been the best blogger of the year so far and already going back on my last promise to keep up to date but so much has been going on that I have not had a minute to share anything! I have had very sad news this week but I will share this with you at a later time.

So off with all the sadness! Last week was busy but had a good ending. Me and two of my workmates were invited to the Nando's official opening at a brand new mall in Makeni. We were pleasantly surprised to find that everything on the menu was absolutely FREE!! So you can imagine how we were spoiled for choice. I ordered the biggest meal I could find on the menu and topped it up with a delicious lemon and cheesecake desert...heaven:) The Nando's chicken never disappointing, all their food is so delicious and the staff is extremely friendly which makes for a great meal out. I would certainly recommend Nando's to anybody. here are a few pics of our great time there!

Our Little Get-Away Weekend

Hope it’s not too late to wish everybody a Happy New Year!

I feel awful because I have been so bad at blogging lately, I always hate it when I follow a blog and then it goes dead and that’s exactly what I have been doing. smh. But worry not, I have so much to share and it’s gonna be a spin!

The next couple of blogs are going to be about all the wonderful stuff that happened over the last couple of weeks before the New Year as I have lots of incredible pictures I want to share.

I don’t think I mentioned this but, last year I won two nights for two at an exclusive lodge in the Lower Zambezi Valley right at the edge of  the Zambezi River (the largest river in Zambia). I took my lovely boyfriend along and we had two of the most fabulous days ever. I will let the pictures tell the story!

We were treated to a boatcruise on our first day at the lodge and it was so exciting and also very romantic
Elephants were just some of the animals we got to see, I was terrified but as you can see my boyfriend loved every minute of it!
Yes, incase you were wondering, those are very real and very wild elephants! We had a terrific guide to make sure we were safe at all times.

So it seems I'm not that heavy afterall, lol...I love being swept up in his arms:)
Of course we had to toast to the moment with a delicious bottle of crispy white wine
The Zambian sunset is one of the most incredibly beautiful sunsets in the world. FACT.

This was the most exciting part of the trip for me, we got to swim in the crocodile and hippo infested Zambezi River! We had a guide to watch over us and we chose a clear and relatively safe part of the river but the risk is what made it unforgettable!
I could not have chosen a better person to share this moment with.

                                           THE END.

All this magic

Last week was a beautiful week full of great events that I wish I could have been there for but could not make it. It was a bit of a bummer but thankfully I was able to get great pictures to all these events and I thought I would share them all with you.

The Besty’s Birthday
My best friend since forever was having her birthday on the 23rd and we live oceans apart which always sucks on such big occasions but her other (less important) friends..lol..threw her a surprise party and she looked like she had a ball. Here are a few pics.

                        Cutting up her birthday cake..YUMMY!!

                         Mixing up her non-alcoholic cocktail

                                      Drink it up! CHEERS!!!

She is coming down to visit in December and I’m beside myself with excitement! You can follow her blog at http://hairrevolution-cheeqsteelo.blogspot.com/

Sparkle on Ice Fashion Show
One of my former Directors where I work set out to start her own company earlier this year and it has been such a huge success. She is extremely talented and will definitely go a long way. The 23rd November (again) was the Sparkle on Ice Fashion Show that featured her company “The House of Couture” as the main design house and it was such a successful event. I’m so proud of her and sad that I could not be there but we can all ogle at a few pics of the event together! These are just some of her amazing designs.

The gorgeous models of the night (love the orange blazer!)

Zambia Art & Design Show

I am so proud of all the amazing talent that can be found in my country. Every year we have the Zambia Art & design Show and this year’s was fabulous. It was a Sunday and we found out a little too late for us to make arrangements for me to attend but as always, some great pics were provided. What do you think?

Colour Blocking Baybeh!!

Woke up feeling inspired to do some colour blocking. I wish I had taken these shots in the morning when I was all perky because I had a long day with a three hour photo shoot of children and I feel and look dead now! The children were adorable for the most part, I found a group of teenagers in the middle of a drama class and one of them pointed out to me and said "I'm tired of my slutty stepmother!" while reciting his lines, which sent everybody laughing. I calmly informed him that his slutty step mother would not be as hot as me. I hope you agree!

I mixed my yellow top with a blue skirt I got for less than a dollar last week. (We don't use dollars as our currency in Zambia but it always sounds very funny when I change the cost to dollars.) Green bangles and a pink purse completed my colour blocking for the day.

Stripped with envy, wouldn't you be too?

Hello lovelies,

I had a busy weekend and no time to take pictures so I thought I would share a post on something I have been dying to own for months now. THE STRIPPED BLAZER/JACKET!!!

I fell in love with the stripped jacket when I saw it in the Rhianna music video for "what's my name." She looked so hot in it, she is such a little trendsetter! Now I have been seeing it more and more on other celebrities but can't seem to find it anywhere in any of my favourite stores. Shipping to Zambia would mean paying twice the price so I will keep my fingers crossed that this trend gets here soon. Here are some pictures of celebrities who rocked the stripped jacket and looked awesome!
